The year I was born
I was born on 30 June, 1989, in Lisbon. My mother was a waitress and my father was a bricklayer, on Madeira island. I was their third daughter.

- The Union Soviet left Afghanistan.
- Portugal won the football championship in juniors, in Saudi Arabia.
- Burley clinches Manager of the Year award … His biggest successes came at Manchester United between 1989 and 1998, where he won four leagues.

The Nobel Prize in Physiology was awarded to J. Michael Bishop and Harold E. Varmus for their contribution to cancer research.
American scientist Norman F. Ramsey, for the invention of the separated oscillatory fields method and its use in the hydrogen maser and other atomic clocks, and American scientist Hans G. Dehmelt and Germany scientist Wolfgang Paul, for the development of the ion trap technique, shared the Nobel Prize in Physics.
